For kitchen knives, we recommend a 1000/6000 grit whetstone: use the 1000 grit side to restore the edge and the 6000 grit side to polish. Hold a consistent 15-20 degree angle. For quick touch-ups, a 3-stage pull-through sharpener works well.
A full tang knife has steel running the entire length of the handle, giving better balance and durability for outdoor tasks. Partial tang knives are lighter and suit lighter kitchen or EDC use.
Our range includes 3CR13, 5Cr15MoV, 9Cr18MoV, D2, 440C stainless and Damascus steel. Higher carbon content (like D2) holds an edge longer; stainless grades (like 440C) resist corrosion better and need less maintenance.
